TIME FLYS!

Oh my gosh... where have the weeks went?! I turn around and it's been so long since I've blogged! My apologies.. I will keep up better. Let's catch up..

It has been such a busy time for Confero. Appointments, Events, Weddings..... all of the above.

Last weekend I had a great wedding at Chateau Elan, Winery & Resort. A dear friend of mine, Robin Beardsley, tied the knot in a beautiful outdoor ceremony among the wine vinyard.
I packed up all the silver I could get my hands on, beautiful white roses & hydrangea and headed across the state line. I asked floral designer Matthew Bees to accompany me and showcase his design talent for this wedding. He did an amazing job on all the decor! From the smallest ring bearer bout, to the bride's bouquet - everything was picture perfect!

I snapped a few photos for the blog, and can't wait to see the professional shots from the day. I hope you enjoy!

There are also so many things coming up! Angela Karen's benefit, " A Picture of Health" is this Thursday night. It's going to be a spectacular event on the rooftop at the Redmont. If you haven't reserved tickets for the event, get on it! They are going fast!

On into the weekend will the be SoHo Bridal show in downtown Homewood. Confero is a sponsor this year, so it's going to be great! Come see my setup and all the other beautiful things Birmingham vendors have to offer.

More blogging to come! Keep up with me! Best!

Let's get it started!

Hello all on a rainy Sunday night. It's been such an action packed weekend for me. A non-stop Saturday setting in Jay's birthday party on the rooftop at the historic Redmont Hotel. I brought on some great vendors in Birmingham to produce this event. Angela Karen Photography, Amanda Combs Cakes & Candies, Hothouse Design Studio, AG Lighting and of course Confero! :-)

It was a sleek soiree in shades of blue and silver. The lighting on the rooftop made the event shine among the city skyline. It was a great feel all through the night with a breeze blowing. I couldn't have asked for a better result. And best of all - my client was extremely happy.

I hope everyone has a great week. More to come very soon!

Below is a quick snapshot I took of the lounge area inside. I lined the tables with flickering candlelight, and placed a spotlight in the corner to wash the room in the theme color. An oversized container held a sweet snack for the guests.

Week In Review

Hey guys and gals.. It's been a few days! A few BUSY days.
This morning I had a great meeting with Ginger Jefferson, the new editor of Birmingham Home & Garden, and we got a lot of great things on the books for Confero. Starting NEXT WEEK, I will be the official style blogger for the publication. I am still debating about how to format it, but I think I am going to do a video blog? Feedback? What do ya think?! Keep checking for the link to go check it out.
Also, as the Style Guide for BHG, I will be doing feature segments on ABC 33/40's "Talk of Alabama" in the upcoming months. Great "Back to School, Halloween, and Holiday" shows are in the works now. More updates and info to come!!!!

On the agenda for tomorrow, a great private event on the rooftop of the Redmont Hotel. Great lighing designed by Alex Garmon, owner of AG Lighting.. Yummy cake from Amanda Combs, Capturing the memories - Angela Karen, Fabulous florals by Mandy Majerik of HotHouse Design Studio, and pulling it all together.... Christopher Reed of Confero Productions. :-)

Wait for images tomorrow!

Sneak Peak from a great wedding tonight at the Alabama Theatre.... Beautiful flowers by HotHouse, Cake & Catering by Diane Olexa, and Videography By RJK Productions. It was a beautiful night!

Rainy Monday... yuck..

Hello all -
It's a big week for Confero! I've been on the phone this morning firming up details to a big new surprise!!! Wait for it!!!

Vendor meetings and client meetings throughout the week building up to a great event this weekend at the rooftop bar at the Redmont Hotel. It's going to be such a busy July! Perhaps a little too busy? nah... bring it on... It's great to finally realize all of my hard work paying off.

I'm still nailing down details for my signature style shoot. I am so looking forward to the beautiful end result of this project. It's always one of my favorites throughout the year.

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July! The view of the "Thunder on the Mountain" was amazing from my balcony at the condo. There was a gourmet hotdog bar set up, and a great cosmo punch to drink. I would feel safe to say everyone had a great time... I know that I did! I know that I felt that punch the next morning! ha.
